"Flying Beetles" for GUBI Salone 2023

all(zone) joins GUBI in celebrating 10-year anniversary of the iconic Beetle chair for Milan Design Week 2023.

The exhibition, "TEN: BEYOND THE BEETLE," curated by Triennale Museum director Marco Sammicheli, presents 10 artists and designers' interpretation of the Beetle chair.

all(zone) "Flying Beetle" reimagines the Beetle chair in a Thai context where dynamic multilevel seating is natural and ubiquitous. The lightweight, flexibly robust, and accommodating Beetle shell is hoisted up in intricate string 'hammock,' a work in collaboration with Bangkok-based macramé workshop, HandHand Studio, to create a fun and relaxed seating experience.

The "Flying Beetle" is also featured in the New York Times article "New Ways to Take a Seat at Milan Design Week" and AD Italia.

"TEN: Beyond the Beetle" is on show from 18 - 24 April during the Milan Design Week 2023 at Bagni Misteriosi, Via Carlo Botta, 18, 20135 Milano.
