Millions Tiles Away

Millions Tiles Away is a building prototype refers to vernacular Thai Architecture – the open hall and sala. It is a flexible enough to adapt with different functions that reflex our ever-changing world. The exterior tile’s pattern of the building could be also changed to communicate different programs. The building requires no air-conditioning system because of its ‘open’ nature which allows natural ventilation. Jeeranai Tiles are used for both the roof and the wall. Because of its light-weight nature, Jeeranai tiles, could be simple adapted as a wall of the building that responses to tropical climate. The tiles are assembled as a wall with small cuts on the tiles to create small voids for natural light. The prototype can be applied anywhere, anytime, any event.
